What the law says
MAC law REPEALED in 2026. K.S.A. 40-3829 and 40-3830 were repealed by 2026 SB 20 (L. 2026, ch. 81, § 19, approved 9 April 2026) and replaced with a NADAC + $10.50 dispensing-fee floor — with no MAC list, no appeal window and no denial-NDC duty. New Sec. 5(e): the floor "shall not apply to self-funded health plans subject to ERISA." ⚠️ SB 20 takes effect "from and after its publication in the statute book" and the Revisor's live pages still display the old text — flag the effective date, do not publish the old 10-business-day-from-fill rule as a live entitlement, and do not publish a hard repeal date
